Recognizing that
quality improvement is a major company-wide challenge, Neel
has taken the following actions:

We have established a means whereby all Neel
employees can present problems directly to the
Co-Chief Quality Officer and a system that allows
the Chief Quality Officer to guide and oversee
concerned departments in the task of resolving these
problems. |

We have reviewed evaluation standards to
minimize the severity of product defects discovered
after shipping and prevent them from occurring, and
have instituted quality study meetings chaired by
the Co-Chief Quality Officer to examine problems and
ways of solving them. |

We have increased the number of samples and
implemented pre-shipping quality assessment
standards incorporating multi-faceted assessment
methods that consider. |
